We’re fitting the latest home technology: ROOD food warmer radiators

ROOD food warmer radiators

With energy bills rising we’re expecting a huge demand for our latest offering: food warmer radiators. Why spend money warming food in the microwave or oven when you can simply pop it in your radiator until you’re ready to eat it?

The amazing ROOD food warmer radiator was invented by Welsh entrepreneur and inventor Edward Hickinbottom, who identified a missed opportunity to include a food warming compartment in a standard domestic radiator.

The compartment makes it possible to keep food warm without using extra gas or electricity – and when the radiators are turned up full, the steady heat is also suitable for slow cooking your favourite dishes in the special “ROOD-pots” provided with the radiators.

Our favourite dishes are radiator beef stew, radiator souffle and radiator biscuits – but the possibilities are endless.

The radiators can also be used to heat baby milk, keep cups of tea warm, and to heat up the special ROOD Heat Paks that come with the radiators. Once heated, these can be used as hand warmers or popped in your shoes to keep your feet warm in winter.

If you’re cooking a meal, you can use the radiators as plate warmers, ensuring your food reaches the table piping hot.

An added bonus for anyone wanting to produce their own food is that with the radiators set to a low and constant heat, they can also be used for incubating eggs – so if you want to raise your own chickens, this is a highly cost-effective way to do it.

ADS founder Andrew D’Auria said:

“I’ve now got these radiators in several rooms in my house and I’m a total convert. They maximise on the heat being generated by your home heating system and introduce a whole new way of cooking. We’re also currently incubating two eggs in one of our radiators, and we can’t wait to see them hatch. We hope they’re not ostriches!”
